·       Lincoln Navigator

The Lincoln Navigator, despite being a hulking SUV, is a vehicle that has so much to offer (spacious interior, long list of luxury amenities, etc.) It is a full-size truck-based luxury SUV built like a tank with 2.6% running even after you hit the 200,000-mile mark.

This vehicle is the definition of a luxurious SUV with mixed reliability ratings, but the good thing is that it is not expensive to maintain. RepairPal reports that the average annual cost for maintenance and repair on a Lincoln Navigator ranks below average in its class.

Lincoln Navigator owners take their vehicle for unscheduled repairs by bringing it to a repair shop on average of 30 months, which is pretty good. The navigator’s inexpensive parts and robust engine keep it on the road for high mileage and years.

·       GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL

The Yukon and the longer wheelbase Yukon XL are classified as the biggest SUVs in the GMC lineup; they received a significant redesign in 2015 with a nice-looking interior, chiseled look, and the latest technology, and slightly better fuel economy.

A 3.5 percent of GMC Yukons showed over 200,000 miles on the odometer at the time of their sales transactions in 2020, which is very impressive. Also, a 0.2 percentage showed more than 300,000 miles on the odometer. This SUV is quite big and built on a full-sized pickup chassis.

Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles have a standard 5.3-liter V8 engine that produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. They can carry up to nine passengers making them the best choice for a family and road trip vehicle.

·       Toyota Highlander Hybrid

It may be a little surprising to see a hybrid crossover on this list, and one of the reasons is that it is the only SUV on the list built on a car-based body frame. Well, it should not surprise you, as Toyota is known for long-lasting manufacturing vehicles.

A study shows that 3.8 percent of mid-sized Toyota Highlander Hybrid models listed for sale during 2020 had been driven past the 200,000-mile range. The 2021 model has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a pair of electric motors with a continuously variable automatic transmission.

It comes with a front-wheel drive system, and an all-wheel drive system is also available. The powertrain is relatively high in efficiency; it has an estimated EPA of 36 miles per gallon (city and highway combined).

·       Toyota Highlander Hybrid

·       Chevrolet Tahoe

The Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-sized truck-based vehicle mechanically related to the GMC Yukon. Among the used Tahoe SUVs sold last year, 3.9 percent registered more than 200,000 miles. This means that it can also achieve the 200,000-mile range.

The fourth generation Tahoe was introduced in 2015; this full-size SUV comes with a 5.3-liter V8 and a 6.2-liter V8 engine. Both engines are hooked up to the high-dramatic six-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle’s ruggedness and dependability make it one of America’s most popular police pursuit vehicles.

It is used as a patrol vehicle daily, from off-road needs to towing needs, by law enforcement officials.

·       Chevrolet Tahoe

·       Toyota 4runner

Another Toyota vehicle has made it to the list, and this one is guaranteed to beat the odds; its ruggedness and dependability make it seem indestructible. Its features make it the best choice for off-roading adventures and everyday use, with seating for up to seven people and 47 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row. It is the best choice for anyone who needs a lot of space.

The mid-size truck-based 4runner is a favorite choice among off-roading enthusiasts. An estimated 4.1 percent of the sales in 2020 registered 200,000 miles or more. Also, 0.2 percent registered 300,000 miles.

It is no surprise that Toyota has sold more than 130,000 4runners annually in the US. If you search for a used 4runner, you will see the high listed prices people are asking for their 4runner.

·       Ford Expedition

This is another full-size truck-based SUV like every other one on this list. This vehicle shares mechanical components and platforms with the Lincoln Navigator, so it is no surprise that it made it to this list. A 4.9 percent of Expedition SUVs are piloted for 200,000 miles or more. Also, 0.2 percent is still strong after 300,000 miles (2020 sales records).

The Expedition is a Ford F-150 work truck with the body of an SUV. Its spacious design allows for a lot of passenger space (seating for eight people), 108 cubic feet of cargo space (standard trim), and 130.8 cubic feet (the larger EL trim).

This vehicle can tow 9,300 pounds which is quite impressive for an SUV. It is even more impressive because the Expedition does not use a V8 anymore (since 2014) but a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. It is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

·       Ford Expedition

·       Chevrolet Suburban

Another Chevrolet model has made it to this list; a body-on-frame SUV (built on a durable platform). According to iSeeCars, the Chevy Suburban is among the most likely to reach 200,000 miles. A 5.1 percent projected to reach 200,000 miles, and 0.2 percent were able to make it past 300,000 miles.

The Chevrolet Suburban is a longer, more spacious alternative to the full-size Tahoe SUV. According to Car and Driver, it is bigger and better than ever. The 2021 model comes with a V8 engine and has six different trim levels.

The Chevy Suburban boasts a larger third row than previous models and a four out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating from consumer reports.

·       Chevrolet Suburban

·       Toyota Sequoia

If you plan to drive beyond 200,000 miles with no problem, then the Toyota Sequoia is your best bet. A full-size truck-based SUV with 11.2 percent beating the 200,000-mile range and 0.4 percent reaching 300,000 miles or more.

If you drive around 15,000 miles yearly, your Toyota Sequoia guarantees about 17-20 years of excellent service. It is a rugged full-size SUV that offers reliable performance. It is also a perfect family car as it has ample cargo space and interior room.

·       Toyota Sequoia

·       Land Cruiser

The number one vehicle on this list is the Land Cruiser; these cars were built to last forever. 16.3 percent of Land Cruiser models sold in 2020 reached more than 200,000 miles, and 1.5 percent of Cruiser models are predicted to surpass the 300,000-mile range.

The Land Cruiser guarantees durability, sports utility, and outstanding off-road capabilities. It is important to note that you should not overlook vehicles like this in maintenance. Do the necessary scheduled services as at when due.

·       Land Cruiser

Conclusion

There you have it, a list of nine cars (from bottom to top) that can last over 200,000 miles or even more! You can try out any of these vehicles if you want a car with a great range built on a durable platform.
