The Ford Bronco has made quite a fantastic name for itself in the market so it is no surprise that car and off-road enthusiasts find this SUV thrilling and a must-have. There are so many features that make the Ford Bronco an exciting car to not only have but also drive.

Its impressive off-road capability, beautiful design and exciting features all make it the perfect choice for drivers who have a thirst for adventure. If you are a lover of the Ford Bronco, you will be aware of the different packages that Ford gives you access to so you can customize your Bronco according to your needs and likes.

These packages give you access to certain exciting features such as more exciting off-road features and advanced technology. They set your Bronco apart from other Broncos. If you are aware of the Bronco packages then you must have heard about the Sasquatch package which is one of the most popular packages you can get with your Ford Bronco.

The 2023 Bronco comes with a powerful four-cylinder 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine which produces up to 300 horsepower. It also comes standard with a manual transmission, removable doors and a removable roof and four-wheel drive. The Sasquatch package, which is available on the lower trims of the Ford Bronco makes all these features ten times better and this article will tell you all about it.

What is Sasquatch Package?

As mentioned above, the Sasquatch package is one of the most popular packages that come with the Bronco and this is due to many good reasons. If you are the type who loves to go on crazy off-roading adventures, this package is the perfect fit because it gives you extra off-roading capabilities. It does not only prepare your Bronco for some crazy off-road action but it also improves your Bronco’s appearance by giving it a sleeker look.

The Sasquatch package is not a compulsory addition to Ford Broncos – it is an optional package that comes standard on almost every 2023 Ford Bronco trims. It comes standard on the Raptor, Heritage Edition, Wildtrak and Everglades trims. Ford says that the Sasquatch package comes with over half of their present orders so we can say that it comes with other Bronco models apart from the ones written above.

The Sasquatch package comes with a range of features that allow for a better off-road experience like the 35-inch tires, the higher clearance suspension and wider fender flares all of which allow for a better off-road performance. This package comes with five upgrades and they are listed below:

  • Fender flares (high-clearance).
  • Beadlock-capable wheels (17 inches) with a warm alloy beauty ring and high-gloss paint (black).
  • LT315/70R17 BSW 35-inch Mud-Terrain (M/T) tires.
  • Final drive ratio (4.7) with electronic front and rear locking differentials.
  • High clearance suspension.

The Price of Sasquatch Package

If you are considering getting a Sasquatch package with your Bronco as an off-road enthusiast, then you should know what the pricing entails for every trim level. The pricing of a Sasquatch package varies for every trim level but you should expect to spend between 4000 to 6500 dollars for almost every Bronco model.

Written below are some Bronco trims and the pricing you should expect.

  • Outer Banks: 4,200 dollars.
  • Big Bend: 6,590 dollars.
  • Base model (2-door): 6,590 dollars.
  • Base model (4-door): 4,995 dollars.
  • Badlands: 4,090 dollars.
  • Black Diamond: 6,090 dollars.

What Does the Sasquatch Package Do?

With all that is written above, we can tell that the Sasquatch package makes you enjoy every off-roading adventure with your Bronco a lot more. It makes off-roading adventures fun, safer and intense through its different features and upgrades.

It has a beadlock capable wheel design which is written amongst its upgrades. This upgrade makes off-roading a lot more easier as it helps to prevent tires from becoming flat. The beadlock design is not street legal but it used by many hard-core off-roaders as it serves as a bonus for off-roading adventures.

Another feature is the high-clearance suspension – HOSS (High Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension). Every off-road enthusiasts knows that ground clearance is necessary if you will not be driving on typical roads. It provides an extra lift of about 8.4 inches for the lower trims which helps to give a smooth ride when driving over rough surfaces.

The first noticeable feature are the 35-inch Mud-Terrain tires which are built for off-roading with their chunky and huge tread pattern. This pattern makes it easier to drive through rocky and muddy terrains without stress. The Bronco comes standard with all-season or all-terrain tires so if you are a fan of off-roading, the Sasquatch package is a better choice.

Keep it in mind though that the Mud-terrain tires do not do so well on paved roads as they will get worn out quickly. This is why the Sasquatch package is perfect for off-road enthusiasts. Another feature is the fender flares which protects the body of your Bronco from rocks, mud and the usual debris you come across while off-roading.

The Sasquatch package also comes with a drive ratio upgrade which allows for faster acceleration. The rear and front locking differentials allow for an improved traction because your Bronco wheels will spin at the same speed. These upgrades make your Bronco an improved off-road beast ready to tackle and take on the roughest and muddiest terrains.

Conclusion

The Sasquatch package comes with many mouth-watering upgrades but people still ask whether it is worth it. You pay above 5,000 dollars more than the starting price for the Sasquatch package for about five different upgrades, why do you not consider getting a higher trim instead?

It is a perfect addition if you are getting it with the bade model but it is more advisable to get a higher trim like the Heritage Edition where all the features in the Sasquatch package come standard.
